Messe München's foreign business is growing
Ahmedabad, Johannesburg, Istanbul, Hyderabad
International expansion is one of Messe München's key strategic pillars. The company consistently promotes its international image. Several spin-offs of Munich trade-fair brands such as bauma, IFAT, electronica, analytica and many others are already established in China, India, Turkey and South Africa. The leading international trade fairs take place in Munich, and their international spin-offs focus on regional markets in their respective locations.

2014 alone saw the addition of four new trade fairs at locations other than Munich. The first was Indian Ceramics, which took place in Ahmedabad in February. Then food & drink technology Africa was held in Johannesburg in March, followed by Seismic Safety in Istanbul in April. And in November, the international network of trade fairs in the sector for analysis, laboratory technology and biotechnology was expanded when the company took over India Lab Expo in Hyderabad.
