Munich's first international trade fair a global sensation
The world in Munich: Int'l Transport Exhibition
The 3rd International Transport Exhibition (IVA) is perhaps the most spectacular exhibition of the 1960s and immediately makes MMG an international name. It is the first international exhibition to be held in Munich. 36 countries participate. 3.2 million visitors flock to the trade-fair center to marvel at the latest developments in the transport sector—from rail and road transport to public transportation, cable cars, shipping and space travel—in 100 special shows. The exhibition lasts 101 days, making the IVA the longest exhibition to ever be held at "Theresienhöhe".
